Patrimônio cultural imaterial e empreendedorismo: o caso do Estaleiro-Escola de São Luis-MA

Abstract

This research analyzes the importance of CVT Estaleiro-Escola for the preservation of the culture of artisanal construction of wooden boats and for the development of the communities linked to this type of company, in the cities of São Luís and São José de Ribamar, in the State of Maranhão. The teaching of entrepreneurship and its role in the development of economic activity is the object of research, since CVT Estaleiro-Escola aims to preserve traditional techniques and prepare young people for the job market by seeking to develop entrepreneurial behavior. The evidence collected in the research shows the importance of CVT Estaleiro-Escola for communities interested in shipbuilding, such as students, shipbuilders, carpenters and fishermen, among others.
